Bill McCleskey shares panel at Fisk University

The Nashville Black Chamber sponsored opening night I-Aspire at Fisk University’s business week in Nashville, Tennessee March 21, 2016.

The event included 5 panelist to give feedback and advice on entrepreneurship as an African-American business owner. Bill McCleskey, founder of MitechPartners.com and Fisk Alum, was asked to participate on the panel upon entering the event and happily agreed.

“I love my University and was happy to be a part of this initiative,” McCleskey said.

Topics discussed were bootstrapping, how to overcome obstacles while building a business, raising money and dealing with systemic racism as an entrepreneur.

Other panelists included Joshua Mundy of Music City Cleaners, Leshane Greenfield of Sagents, Ashley Lawal of Urbanite and Clinton Gray of Green Truck Movers.

Bill McCleskey is scheduled to speak at several schools this Spring 2016 including Lipscomb Academy, Belmont and Tennessee State University sharing ideas on entrepreneurship, technology and how African-Americans can maximize opportunities in the tech industry nationwide.

Mitech has also instituted an internship program and has hired its first intern from Fisk University. “The goal of our internship program is to expose African-American college students to technology, business networking events, PR initiatives and the daily roles of an entrepreneur.
